Hand crafter hospitality in New York's Catskill Mountains

“Nestled on a 20-acre plot on the eastern edge of the Catskill Mountains, the Container Cabin promises solitude in a lush forest with a waterfall a stone’s throw away. Hiking and delicious food options are also abundant in the area.”

What they say about us

It’s a magical place tucked into the woods where you get the healing properties of nature, a rustic experience, and don’t have to be an expert camper to enjoy. The container is just the right size, the surrounding area is wonderful (star gazing and the nearby waterfall are big pluses), and it’s the only place I know that the night-life lulls you to sleep. There are great hikes a short drive away and quaint Hudson river towns (lots of great coffee shops in Saugerties). Overall a wonderful experience.

The Essential Forest Bathing

This is literal forest bathing. Follow a short trail from the driveway to a traditional Finnish wet sauna set in the woods inside a 10-foot shipping container. Two tiers of cedar slat benches offer varying levels of heat and steam. Toss water on the Finnish Harvey Legend sauna stove for a quick burst of heat or bath in the shower stall in the corner. A hundred yards down the hill as a small wading pool in the stream, perfect for a cold plunge in all seasons.

Follow the hot tub path to a two-person wood-fired hot tub set on the edge of the stream.
